S7:E1: The Senseless Disappearance of Tamika Huston (24) “Vanished in Silence"
Spartanburg, South Carolina– In May 2004, 24-year-old Tamika Huston vanished from her home without a trace. Tamika was deeply loved by her family and friends and her sudden disappearance shocked those who knew her.
Her case left her family and supporters asking two very important questions: How does a vibrant young woman’s promising life come to such a tragic and unexpected end? ..and who could be responsible for a crime that would haunt Tamika’s family for years to come?
Sadly, those answers would come 15 months after Tamika disappeared.
Tamika Huston’s story served as the inspiration for the founding of The Black & Missing Foundation (BAMFI) an organization created to help elevate the voices of missing persons of color. During the time of Tamika’s disappearance her story garnered very little news coverage during a time when Laci Peterson and Natalee Holloway disappearances dominated the news cycle.
Listen to Season 7: Episode 1 to find out how this shocking case unfolds.
Rest in Peace Tamika Huston. Gone but Never Forgotten. 🕊️🙏
